Oh my.......

Baking cookies on another rainy morning. Lily insists on breaking the eggs and we had a causality this morning. She is really getting the hang of using her rolling pin and pressing the cookie cutters to form her own cookies now.

Reading to her sister, Iris loves it when Lily reads to her smiling and cooing along with the story. It is heart warming to see the way they play and interact with each other now that Iris is getting older.

Playtime

Getting ready for fun

My Amazon orders finally came!!! I found a great toddler game for Lily to play that will help her learn her colors, shapes, numbers and more. We have since played with the cards only once and she loved it. My new bum fluff for Iris, getting new cloth diapers is so exciting. Lily`s love of music inspired me to get her a rhythm band set and it was love at first sight.

Lily took out each instrument to test it a few times but I have to say I think the triangle was her favorite with the tambourine coming in a close second.

Iris is starting to really like her exersaucer, although she loves munching on her hands so much now as well.

Lily picked out my outfit.

Sleepy girl

Enjoying the sunshine with mommy while Iris naps.

Iris loved the sunshine too when she woke up and joined us.

SIX minutes that was all it took, 6 minutes. I had nursed Iris to sleep and left Lily in the living room watching Dora, fully clothed eating a snack. As I got up I checked the time to track how long iris would sleep but as I put her down she woke up so I paced the room swaying and singing to her so she would fall asleep again. I had just gotten her to sleep again and was laying her in the crib and Lily says `mommy pretty`. I turned to look at her and had to strangle my shocked reaction as I did not want to awaken Iris again. I picked up my phone to check the time wondering how long I must have left her, only to see that it had only been SIX minutes. We went straight to the bath and thankfully most of the marker came off right away, Lily did not like having her face washed about 10 times in one bath but that was her own fault.

Letting the bum fluff get some sun to take away any stains.

Playing outside while mom types up the weekly blog post.

Lily has now started wanting to use her colors all the time and will drag them out 10 times a day if I dare to put them back in her drawer.

Blogging in the sun and enjoying the view.

We went to the park and Iris hammed it up for the camera.

Lily making friends at the playground.

Love this girl..

Striking a pose while she sleeps.

Outdoor play soaking up the sunshine.

Saturday we went to visit Daddy at school and on the way home we stopped at the playground at the elementary school.

Checking out all the `flowers`.

Lily took her first dip in the ocean on Sunday, it was not expected but the water was so warm we both had a hard time not going in further. Halle was in love because she got to swim and play fetch with Mike`s old glove (which she has decided is her new favorite toy.)
