the week is over already ????

This week went by fast we have settled into too much of a routine and with all the rain we are getting antsy so we tried to do something different each day this week to spice up our day.
Mommy broke out the paints on Tuesday and Lily had a blast painting about fifteen pictures and then some salt dough circles we had made awhile ago. It is crazy how fast a child's fine motor develops, Lily's skills are improving all the time. Also now when she paints she makes sure that each brush goes back into the right color even after all the colors had gotten mixed up. We had a great time painting and I will have to make sure I mix more paint for her again soon.

Playtime in Lily`s room on Tuesday included a little chair dancing with Elmo, puzzle building and sharing with Iris.

Sister Love

Oh and one of Lily`s favorite new thing to do somersaults. Although she needs to start looking where she is doing them as she has run into the wall table, chairs and couch a few times.

Wednesday we set up a fort in the living room Lily was really impressed with it. Forts make everything more fun like coloring, tea parties, building towers and even just walking around.

Daddy joined the fun when he got home after school.

Morning cuddles in mommy and daddy's bed while I put the laundry away.

Thursday we broke out the playdough and had lots of fun creating lots of different things. We used cookie cutters, plastic knives and Popsicle sticks to create our masterpieces. Lily and I rolled the dough and made some snakes which she loved making hiss and showed Iris her snake and giving it kisses.

Iris enjoyed worry free playmat time seeing her sister busy with the playdough. Iris also loved looking at the cute baby that was in the mirror. She also is getting really good with her fine motor skills and is able to grab toys and put them in or near her mouth for a taste.

Friday the sun broke out and we ventured to the park once more, Lily insisted on wearing this jacket that is too big but at least she was wearing one. There green climbing board Lily tired for the first time last week is in the pictures she loved going up it once again.

and down the slides.

Lily was relaxing in the car before the some of grade 8s from Mike`s school showed up to play and she found a boy who fascinated  her, so she started to follow and play with him. I did explain to her that her father will not be impressed if she tries to date boys that were this much older later on in life.

Iris sitting up like a big girl in her high chair eating one of her rattles while we eat supper.

Lily getting ready to go to town on Saturday. There was a little mommy see Lily do going on. She required her own deoderant and some cover up along with using my brush.

On the way into town we stopped at the library to refresh our book selection as both mommy and daddy were getting a little bored with our books at home.  Lily helped pick some books and then decided she wanted to draw a picture before we left. *Note the two different colored boots she insisted on wearing which were both left feet*

Hanging out at Grandmama`s and Grandpapa`s house. Lily though the kitties play tunnel was for her and crawled through it a couple of times.

Helping out in the yard Daddy was put to work moving bricks and breaking up flowers to plant. Lily helped collect the golf balls and then we made a game of throwing them in to Grandpapa`s practice net.
