A little late but better than never right

This past week has been wonderful and busy, having Iris home and Lily getting used to not having mommy's undivided attention. Lily has been great with Iris and is always helping out getting things for me or taking diapers and putting them in the garbage. She is also showing how great she is at sharing, unfortunately she has been trying to share thing with Iris she shouldn't like her food and books (which she is not so gentle in giving). It is hard trying to explain no you cannot share that with Iris or please do not share that with your sister when I know in another few months I will be saying the opposite to Lily.
Iris is doing great nursing and sleeping at night only getting mommy up a few times. I have to say this recovery  has been 95% easier than my recovery with Lily and I am definitely getting to enjoy the newborn phase so much more.  Iris had her one week appointment and after going down to 7 pounds 12 ounces when she left the hospital she was up to 8 pounds 5 ounces which was great. The rest of her check up went really well and Iris did really good with being poked at too. Lily had fun too because she got to leave with some stickers.
Lily had a blast last week making her Valentine cookies and decorations, we had Iris's one week check-up on the 14th so we were able to deliver them and get some snuggles.

Lily made some more salt dough shapes to paint. She had so much fun both making the dough and then washing up afterwards. Although the counter and floor ended up getting washed too.

Lily and Iris enjoyed a visit from their cousins Saturday. Lily had a blast playing with them and Iris was excited to have her first visitors to the house.
