Still a Family of 3

After Mike's great prediction of this baby coming early this time, we have now passed our due date and there is no sign of our little girl coming anytime soon. Wednesday we will talk to the doctor about what they think is the best plan for proceeding, with an induction the most likely ending.

The way this kid finds her comfort to fall asleep cracks me up every time.

Playtime fun!

Lily and daddy coloring in the Dr. room waiting patiently once again for baby sister and mommy to get checked. She has got this down to a science now, she wants to help use the doppler now to hear the heartbeat on her own.

Nothing Like relaxing with your feet up having breakfast and looking at the scenery, unfortunately Halle doesn't find it so relaxing.

Lily has a new found love of baking, she realized what I was doing by getting the ingredients our of the cupboard and had her chair pulled over in seconds. She is still working on trying to stir the dough all on her own though, since she does not like it when I help her.

Making salt dough for some Valentines day decorations. Lily was thrilled when I gave her a rolling pin and some dough to make her own hearts. She did not however enjoy the taste of this dough, unlike the sugar cookies we had made just before hand.

Painting her hearts. Lily is one serious painter she sat and worked on them for over an hour. (I think we will be making many more salt dough crafts in the future if she will sit and paint them for that long.)

On Thursday morning we were finally able to make it up to playgroup at the family center up the road. Lily was really excited to have some different toys to play with and to see her friend Nate again. The two of them have so much fun playing together, I am glad we were both healthy enough to finally make it back.

Once again refusing to nap only to find her asleep like this, reading her Star Wars spaceship book from the library.

This weeks duck installment comes from our walk on Saturday at Sullivan's pond. It was pretty cold out but Lily was really excited to see so many ducks getting so close. Also there were about 10 big white geese that she though were pretty amazing. Mike and I both reminisced though about how we were both bitten or chased by the geese her as children as well as most other we know that grew up in Dartmouth.

Oh Pinterest, I saw these Valentines Day blondies pinned from a friend and we had to make some. Lily had a loved pushing the smarties way down into the dough, at least until she ate one then it was over and she just wanted to eat the smarties.

Lily is finally starting to like the snow which is good since we got another huge dumping of it on Sunday. It was perfect for making snowballs, snowmen and a snow fort. Lily tired very hard to make some snowballs but couldn't quite get them done without her thumbs. Mike, Lily and Halle had a great time rolling around in the snow. Of course we spent sometime looking and yelling at the ducks which came over right away looking for food. Lily also learned that you can stick your tongue otu and try to eat the snow on this adventure too.

I love this picture Mike took of Miss Lily.

This is what happens when you try and make snow angels at over 40 weeks pregnant !!
