Turning two.....

Lily`s new obsession bubbles, everyday I hear "bubs, outside bubs" from Lily with a big smile on her face. At the Easter egg hunt Lily got two sets of kid friendly bubble wands which she is able to blow many bubs out at once and loves it.

Lily pushing her baby in the stroller and sweeping the tree along with more bubs.

I have been making freezer meals to pull out for dinner here`s 8 of them this week, 4 enchilada pies and 4 chicken pot pies (crusts from scratch too). I didn't get all my meals made this weekend because I had some Birthday prep work to do as well.

Iris is starting to get used to her exersaucer. I love the top left picture Iris was like umm mom I am trying to play here.

Lily cooking with her new pots and pans her Grandpa sent to her as a birthday gift. (the bubble wrap soup she made was delicious)

Blowing bubbles at her playmat Iris made Lily's day, so of course Lily had to try blowing bubbles from her mouth too...

At playtime it was a shirts off kind of day. Shopping, cooking food and taking pictures. In the middle picture Lily is cooking food for her two doggies one of which was Mike's and the other was my pound puppy from when we were little.

Playing with little sister is getting to be easier. Lily loves to include Iris in play and help dress her up, Wednesday she got wear this beautiful head band and learned how to take pictures.

More blowing and popping of bubbles, here you can see Lily attempting the double bubble blow.

Lily loves picking the "flowers" in our backyard and putting them in her basket. Lily decided the big basket was not suitable for indoors so she picked them up one at a time and transferred then to a smaller basket.

As I said before Lily loves her bubbles and so here we are again blowing bubbles. Lily not only likes to blow the bubbles with the wand but she likes to use it to pop the bubbles with too.

Saturday Vicki came down to visit for Lily's birthday we went out to the Kiwi Cafe in town and enjoyed a wonderful lunch. Lily brought baby too. Part way through Lunch Lily decided we were too boring so she went and got her own table to sit at.

Lunch date

We had a great day and visit opening presents, building legos and towers, blowing bubbles and having cuddles.

I love this picture of her chasing the bubbles.

mommy cuddles

Iris sporting her Little sister shirt for the first time.

Vicki had gone to the market before coming to visit and brought us some goodies. I love these princess cookies the are fabulous and are covered with white chocolate.

Lily fell asleep on the couch watching hockey with Mike on her last night as a one year old.

Cuddled up in bed

Lily came out of her room Sunday morning as usual whining and wanting to be cuddled until she saw her new bike in the middle of the living room. She stopped mouth wide open and ran over to it pulled the balloons away from it, put on her helmet and then got on for a ride. After she had her turn and Mike and I needed to get some things done Lily came into Iris's room with her bike and baby in tow wanting me to put baby in it so she could have a bike ride too.

Birthday Pancakes

Rainbow themed 2nd Birthday! I would love to take credit for the ideas but I collected most from pinterest and somehow found the time to execute them all.

Lily had a blast at her birthday party making bubbles, playing chase, searching for skittles, eating cake, and visiting family and friends.

The cake that inspired a rainbow birthday theme, now I am just trying to come up with reasons to makes this cake again.

Enjoying some cake with mommy

Cake time and again we somehow did not manage to get a picture of all of us looking at the camera at the same time, although I love each picture anyway.

I love this one of her blowing out her candle

Our family picture taken on Mike's cell phone because with all the fun at the party I  forgot to get a family picture of us all.

You can tell someone had a great day because she passed out at 6:20 pm in the bouncy chair.

As soon as Lily went to sleep someone moved in and took over the new toddler couch Lily got for her birthday. I can understand why it is the perfect size for her, silly Halle.

Iris on the other hand spent the party snoozing and decided it was party time at about 8:30 and didn't go to sleep until almost 10 pm. I really didn't mind too much with all the cute smiles and coos Iris was giving me.

Today was a really special day, Mike and I really appreciate everyone making the trip down to our place for Lily's birthday. Although we had made great friends while we were away, we were so happy to have our family and friends from home around us to celebrate today.
